Adams, Topic win at World Grand Prix

Longhorn Rachael Adams had five kills in Team USA’s win.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Volleyball All-American Rachael Adams posted five kills and one block to help lift Team USA over Germany, 3-1 (25-17, 24-26, 25-10, 25-23) on Friday evening in Long Beach, Calif. at the World Grand Prix.
Team USA improves to 3-1 in the FIVB World Grand Prix with nine points, while Germany falls to 0-4 through the fourth competition day. The Americans host Japan (1-3) on Saturday at 19:10 Pacific Time, while Germany take on Turkey (2-2) at 17:10 Pacific Time.
In Kazakhstan, Longhorn Mira Topic had 12 kills and two blocks to lead Croatia past Peru, 3-1 (25-14, 27-29, 25-20, 25-7) to advance to the World Grand Prix Group 3 Final.
Junior Paulina Prieto Cerame and Puerto Rico fell to the Dominican Republic, 1-3 (25-21, 22-25, 27-29, 15-25) in the semifinal of the World Grand Prix Group 2 Semifinal.
