Sullivan named team leader for 2016 Olympics

Assistant Volleyball Coach Erik Sullivan will serve on Head Coach John Speraw’s staff.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Volleyball Assistant Coach Erik Sullivan will serve as the USA Men's Volleyball Team Leader for the 2016 Olympic Games, USA Volleyball announced.
Sullivan, a two-time Olympian, will join Head Coach John Speraw and Assistant Coaches Matt Fuerbringer and Mike Wall on the staff.
The U.S. Men qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games by winning the 2015 FIVB World Cup.
The U.S. Men have qualified for 10 previous Olympic Games: 1964, '68, '84, '88, '92, '96, 2000, '04, '08 and '12. They won the Olympic gold medal in 1984, '88 and 2008 and won bronze in 1992. The U.S. Men finished tied for fifth at the 2012 Olympic Games.
The U.S. Men will begin play in the 2016 Olympic Games on Aug. 7 against Canada.
