- The Burnt Orange & White lead their overall series against Kansas by a 15-7-2 total, including 7-2-1 in Austin, but have lost the last three meetings in the series against the Jayhawks dating back to 2015. UT is 2-0-0 all-time against Kansas State and earned a 2-0 victory in the only Austin match-up between the two teams during a non-Big 12 contest back on Oct. 7, 2016.
- Texas senior midfielder Katie Glenn was one of just 10 NCAA Division I women's soccer players to make the cut this week as a national finalist for the prestigious Senior CLASS Award. An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award® focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
- Texas' offense is piling up numbers in some categories that haven't been seen around the program in over a decade. The Longhorns' 33 goals through 15 matches this year are the most for the team since scoring 33 over a full 23-match season back in 2014 (record is 57 goals in 2002). UT's 38 assists and 104 total points in 15 matches are the most in a campaign in those categories since putting up 44 assists and 140 points during the full 25-match 2007 season (records are 62 assists in 2004 and 172 points in 2002 & 2004).
- Texas is one of just three Big 12 teams to boast five players each with three-or-more goals this season, joining Baylor and Oklahoma State. The Longhorns continue to lead the league as a team in goals (33), assists (38) and total points (103).
- With senior Alexa Adams' recent Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week selection (Oct. 16), the Longhorns now boast seven weekly league awards in 2018, tying the program record of seven set by the 2017 Texas squad.
- Outshooting opponents has been important for the Longhorns' success this season as Texas owns a 9-0-1 mark when firing more shots in a contest. UT out-shot No. 13 Oklahoma State, 18-14, but was dealt a 1-1 (2OT) tie.
- Texas is taking the mantra of "defending your home turf" to heart as the Longhorns are a perfect 8-0-0 at Mike A. Myers Stadium in 2018. UT has now won nine consecutive home contests (including last year's NCAA First Round victory over North Texas) and 18 of their last 20 home match-ups overall. The program record for the longest home winning streak is 14 straight matches established over the 2004 & 2005 seasons.
- After going just 2-8 during one-goal matches during the 2016 season, the Longhorns have since turned around their fortunes in such contests by going a remarkable 18-5 over their last 23 one-goal matches since beginning 2017 and are 7-2 in 2018.
- Senior forward Alexa Adams has tallied at least one point in seven of her last 11 matches. Sophomore midfielder Haley Berg has now totaled two points in five of UT's last 11 contests and junior forward Cyera Hintzen has points in seven of the last eight matches. In all, Hintzen has registered at least one point in 12-of-15 matches this season and at least two points in 10-of-15 (she's scored goals in eight-of-15).
