AUSTIN, Texas — Steady quarterback play from Sam Ehlinger and Shane Buechele and key defensive stops gave The University of Texas (8-3, 6-2) the edge over Iowa State (6-4, 5-3), 24-10, on Saturday night on Senior Night at Darrell K Royal Texas Football Stadium. The Longhorn victory marked UT's 376th all-time in Memorial Stadium, which was hosting its 500th game. With the victory, coupled with West Virginia's loss at Oklahoma State, Texas will clinch a spot in the 2018 Big 12 Championship Game with a win next Friday at Kansas.
