No. 5 Volleyball sweeps West Virginia to conclude regular season

AUSTIN, Texas – No. 5 Texas Volleyball swept West Virginia, 3-0 (25-11, 25-22, 25-18) conclude the regular season with a 20-4 record and a 15-1 mark in Big 12 Conference play.
Seniors Yassmeen Bedart-Ghani and Morgan Johnson led the Longhorns before being recognized for their final regular-season match at Gregory Gym.
Bedart-Ghani posted 13 kills (.722) on 18 total swings and no errors, also adding two blocks, whie Johnson led Texas with six blocks. Johnson also had nine kills and no errors on 12 swings for a .750 efficiency.
Junior Micaya White led UT in kills with 15 (.452), four digs, and three blocks and freshman Brionne Butler had five kills and four blocks.
Freshman Logan Eggleston finished with four kills and two digs and junior Orie Agbaji also posted four kills (.429) in the match.
Freshman Jhenna Gabriel finished with 41 assists, five digs, and four blocks and freshman Sydney Petersen led Texas in digs with seven.
Eggleston, Petersen, Rounsaville, and White all had one service ace.
Texas is an automatic qualifier for the 2018 NCAA Tournament. The Longhorns will find out their seed in the tournament on Sunday November 25th at 7:30 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
