NOTES
- The No. 12 Texas women's basketball team closes its four-game homestand on Sunday when it plays host to Stetson. Tip-off in the Frank Erwin Center is slated for 1 p.m. CT and the game will be nationally televised by Longhorn Network. It will be the final home game for UT before the winter holidays.
- The Series: Texas and Stetson meet for the second time in the history of the two programs. The Longhorns and Hatters met for the first time last season with Texas winning 95-59 at the Frank Erwin Center. The Longhorns are also 1-0 all-time vs. teams in the current alignment of the Atlantic Sun.
- Defend The Drum: Texas is 80-12 [.870] inside the Frank Erwin Center since the start of the 2013-14 season, including a 51-8 [.864] record since the start of the 2015-16 campaign. Nine of the 12 losses that Texas has suffered at home since 2013-14 have come to opponents ranked in the AP top-six.
- On The Boards: Texas has held or tied for the rebounding advantage in eight of the nine games it has played this season and 97 of the last 114 games overall. The Longhorns rank 14th nationally in rebound margin at +11.9 and have recorded 50 or more boards in three games this season.
- Aston Seeks Win 150 At Texas: Texas head coach Karen Aston, in her seventh season leading the Longhorns, is on the verge of her 150th victory on the Forty Acres. Aston is 149-64 [.700] at Texas, having led the Longhorns to four consecutive NCAA Sweet 16 appearances, including an NCAA Elite Eight showing in 2015-16. She is 250-127 [.663] in her 12th season as a collegiate head coach.
- Warren a Two-Time Big 12 Freshman of the Week: Freshman guard/forward Audrey Warren was named Big 12 Freshman of the Week for the second time in her young career on Monday. She scored a career-high 21 points vs. Tennessee in a career-high 33 minutes of play.
- Sweet Like Sug[ar]: Junior Sug Sutton is in her first season as the starting point guard for the Longhorns, but she is quickly beginning to emerge as one of the nation's top point guards. She ranks 19th nationally in total assists [55] and is 24th in assists per game [6.1]. The last time a Texas player averaged 6.0 or better assists for a season was Edwina Brown in 1999-00 [6.1].
- Up Next: Texas returns to action on Thursday when it travels to Edinburg, Texas, to face UT Rio Grande Valley. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. CT.
