Volleyball’s Ogbogu named Best Blocker at Pan Am Cup

Longhorn Chiaka Ogbogu led the U.S. Women’s National Team to the Pan American Championship.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Volleyball alum Chiaka Ogbogu (2013-17) was named Best Blocker after leading the U.S. Women's National Team to the Pan American Championship on Saturday in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Ogbogu finished with 14 kills on 21 swings and a match-high seven blocks.
The U.S. held advantages of 17-10 in blocks and 65-51 in kills.
Team USA has now won the Pan Am Cup six times in 17 editions – including five of the past seven years (2003, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018).
Longhorn Molly McCage (2012-15) also competed with the U.S. Women's National team.
