- Two teams atop the Big 12 Conference standings meet on Saturday at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa, as No. 11 Texas visits No. 20 Iowa State. Tip-off is slated for 4 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed at Cyclones.TV (subscription-based) and broadcast on radio at 105.3 FM in Austin.
- The Series: Texas and Iowa State meet for the 36th time in the history of the two programs. The Cyclones lead the all-time series between the two teams, 18-17, but the Longhorns have won six of the last seven meetings, including all three match-ups last season.

- Sweet Like Sug[ar]: Junior Sug Sutton, in her first season as her team's starting point guard, is one of the nation's top all-around floor leaders. Sutton, who has played in 83 career games, ranks 18th nationally in assists per game at 5.7. She also is 13th in the nation with 86 total assists on the year. She has been filling up the stat sheet with 11.1 points per game, 4.9 rebounds per game and 1.5 steals per game. In league games only, Sutton is averaging a team-best 13.3 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game and 5.0 assists per game.
