NOTES
- Atop the Big 12 Conference standings with a 4-0 record, No. 11 Texas stays on the road when it travels to Manhattan, Kan., on Wednesday to face Kansas State. Tip-off in Bramlage Coliseum is slated for 7 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcast by ESPN3 and 105.3 FM in Austin.
- The Series: Texas and Kansas State meet for the 37th time in the history of the two programs. The Longhorns lead the all-time series between the two teams 22-14. Texas has won nine of the last 10 meetings between the two teams, including seven consecutive. The series is tied 8-8 when the game is played in Manhattan.
- Big 12 Starts: Texas is looking to start its Big 12 Conference portion of the season at 5-0 for the third time in the last four years. Just four Texas teams in history have started Big 12 play at 5-0 - 2001-02, 2002-03, 2015-16 and 2016-17. The 2016-17 team set the school record with a 14-0 start in Big 12 play.
- On The Boards: Texas ranks third nationally in rebound margin at +14.6. The Longhorns rank second in the Big 12 Conference with 716 total boards on the season and Texas is averaging 44.8 rebounds per game, which ranks 13th nationally. The Longhorns have held or tied for the rebounding advantage in 15 of the 16 games they have played this season and 104 of the last 121 games overall. Texas also is 14th nationally in offensive rebounds per game at 17.0.
- Sug[ar] and Spice: Junior Sug Sutton, in her first season as her team's starting point guard, is one of the nation's top all-around floor leaders. Sutton, who has played in 84 career games, ranks 14th nationally in total assists with 93. She is also 17th in the nation in assists per game at 5.8. She is filling up the stat sheet with 11.9 points per game, 5.8 assists per game and 5.3 rebounds per game. Sutton has scored in double figures 11 times this season with a pair of double-doubles. In league action only, she is the Big 12's only player to rank among the top-10 in the conference in points per game [16.0], assists per game [5.5] and field-goal percentage [59.1].
