Soccer Texas-Ex Phoenetia Browne signs pro contract with Aland United

The forward played for the Longhorns as a graduate transfer back during the 2015 campaign
AUSTIN, Texas – Former Texas soccer forward Phoenetia Browne has signed a contract to continue her professional career as a part of Aland United, a team playing in the Naisten Liiga, the premier women's league in Finland.
Aland United is a two-time Naisten Liiga champion (2009, 2013) and one of 10 total squads participating in the league during the upcoming 2019 season.
Browne, who plays internationally with the St. Kitts & Nevis Women's Senior National Team, has already spent time professionally in Europe for teams based in Iceland (scored 12 goals in the Iceland Second Division for Sindri), Romania (FCU Olimpia Cluj) and France (Croix de Savoie Ambilly FC).
During her only season on the Forty Acres in 2015, Browne participated in nine matches with two starts for the 8-6-4 Longhorns, earning 137 combined minutes of action against teams such as No. 5 North Carolina, No. 18 Ohio State, No. 14 UCLA and No. 5 West Virginia.
