CLEMSON, S.C. - The Texas Track & Field program battled a strong field on Friday to open the two-day Clemson Invitational. Despite the competition, the Longhorns rose to the occasion to record six victories during day one action.
"We had a very successful first day this afternoon at the Clemson Invitational," head coach Edrick Floréal said. "We had six student-athletes post wins and several record Top 10 marks in our record books. In addition to that, 16 had personal bests during Friday's action which is a testament to the training that the group is putting in. We will need to build off that success in order to finish the meet strong tomorrow."
