- The No. 13/12 Texas women's basketball team hits the road on Sunday to Morgantown, W.Va., where it will take on West Virginia. Tip-off in WVU Coliseum is slated for 3 p.m. CT and the game will be nationally televised by ESPN2. The Longhorns are 5-0 away from home this season.
- The Series: Texas and West Virginia meet for the 18th time in the history of the two programs with the Longhorns leading the all-time series 11-6. The Longhorns have won eight of the last nine meetings between the two teams, including all three meetings last season.
- Texas in Big 12 Openers: Texas defeated Oklahoma State 60-51 on Wednesday evening to give the Longhorns their fifth consecutive win in a Big 12 Conference opener. The Longhorns are now 13-10 all-time in league lid-lifters.
- On The Boards: Texas ranks fourth nationally in rebound margin at +15.2. The Longhorns rank second in the Big 12 Conference with 589 total boards on the season and Texas is averaging 45.3 rebounds per game, which ranks 12th nationally. The Longhorns have held or tied for the rebounding advantage in 12 of the 13 games they have played this season and 101 of the last 118 games overall.
- Sweet Like Sug[ar]: Junior Sug Sutton is in her first season as the starting point guard for the Longhorns, but she is quickly beginning to emerge as one of the nation's top floor leaders. Sutton, who has played in 81 career games, ranks 15th nationally in total assists [76] and 21st in assists per game [5.8]. Sutton, who is playing 29.7 minutes per game, is also averaging 10.8 ppg and 5.2 rpg.
- Balanced Effort: Texas is benefiting from a balanced effort this season. Three players are averaging 10.0 ppg or better and seven players are averaging 6.9 points per game or better. Six players are playing 20 or more minutes per game and not a single player is averaging more than 29 minutes per game. The Longhorns have used six different starting lineups in 13 games this year.
- Up Next: Texas returns to action on Wednesday when it plays host to Oklahoma. Tip-off at the Frank Erwin Center is slated for 7 p.m. CT and the game will be televised by Longhorn Network.
