Four Texas golfers are among the top-11 individually.
Four Texas golfers are among the top-11 individually after 36 holes and the No. 2 Longhorns are currently tied for third place Saturday entering the final round of the Betsy Rawls Invitational at UT Golf Club.
No. 5 Kent State leads the tournament field with a 12-under-par two-round total of 564 [287-277], while
No. 23 Oklahoma State is second with a nine-under-par 567 [283-284]. The Longhorns [288-284] and Miami [293-279] are tied for third with four-under-par 572s.
As a team, Texas has the second-most birdies of any team in the field with 34, while the Longhorns have also recorded 114 pars.
LINEUP AT A GLANCE
- Sophomore Hailee Cooper [74-69] and freshman Sophie Guo [70-73] are tied for eighth-place overall with one-under-par 143s. Cooper has a team-leading 10 birdies through the first two rounds of play. Guo's 70 in the first round marked her fifth round this season at par or better.
- Sophomore Sára Kousková [71-73] and junior Kaitlyn Papp [73-71] are tied for 11th with even-par 144s. Kousková leads her team through the first two rounds with 26 pars.
- Senior Maren Cipolla is tied for 32nd with a five-over-par 149 [78-71]. She carded 25 pars on the day, marking second-most on her Texas team.
- Senior Kelly Xac, competing as an individual, is in 77th with a 25-over-par 169 [84-85].

"I think we're in good position. You always want to be in the lead or a little bit closer, but I think we're within range. We got it going a little bit in the second round, which I was happy about. Great bounce-back by Maren Cipolla and Hailee Cooper in the afternoon, so I'm really proud of them. Our other three are just playing some solid golf. It was out there today. A couple of teams had great rounds, we just didn't take advantage in certain spots. I think we'll be ready tomorrow and we're within range."
