The Field (WGCA poll Oct. 24): No. 10 Texas, San Jose State, University of Hawaii at Manoa, No. 20 Arizona State, No. 19 UCLA, No. 1 Stanford, Colorado, No. 7 Auburn, Washington, UC-Berkeley, Oregon State.
Back in Hawaii: This will be the second straight season the Longhorns have played in this event. Last season they finished third in the tournament. Farah O'Keefe finished T2 one shot back of the winner with her 8-under score. Cindy Hsu and Lauren Kim finished T6 at 6-under. Texas shot 11-under-par as a team for the tournament.
O'Keefe wins gold with Team USA: Farah O'Keefe was part of the team who won gold at the World Amateur Team Championships in Singapore. O'Keefe finished T11 in the tournament. She played on Team USA with Megha Ganne (Stanford) and Catherine Park (USC) who are both in this tournament. Texas had five players in the event with Lauren Kim (Canada), Vivian Lu (New Zealand) and Cindy Hsu and Selina Liao (Taiwan)
3 in the top-10 at first tournament of the season: Farah O'Keefe led Texas with a T5 finish and Cindy Hsu and Angela Heo finished T10 at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate last week. The Longhorns shot 9-under in the second round and 6-under in the final round. They finished tied for fourth overall, but their second and third combined rounds were the best in the field.
O'Keefe, Kim named to ANNIKA Award Preseason Watch List: The Haskins Foundation announced the ANNIKA Award Preseason Watch List presented by Stifel. Texas women's golfers Farah O'Keefe and Lauren Kim landed on the 25-player watch list. Both O'Keefe and Kim made the final 15 list near the end of the 24-25 season and are preseason All-Americans. O'Keefe is currently ranked No. 8 on the World Amateur Golf Ranking list and Kim comes in at No. 17.
4 Longhorns earn preseason All-America honors from Golf Channel: Four Texas women's golfers were named to the Golf Channel preseason All-America list. Farah O'Keefe on First Team, Lauren Kim and Cindy Hsu on Second Team and Vivian Lu on third team. In the team preseason rankings, the Longhorns were selected No. 2.
2024-25 Season Recap: The Longhorns won three tournament and advanced to match play at the NCAA Championship. Texas advanced to the NCAA Championship for the ninth straight season and 33rd time in program history. Lauren Kim was the Longhorns top finisher in stroke play at the NCAA Championship with a T14 finish. Farah O'Keefe earned runner-up honors at the SEC Championship.
