- Texas owns a commanding 22-3-1 advantage in its all-time series against Iowa State, including a 10-1-0 record in Austin. The Cyclones haven't beaten the Longhorns at Mike A. Myers Stadium since Oct. 1, 1999, as UT has won the last nine match-ups contested in ATX.
- Texas heads into Thursday's contest still very much alive in the race for the Big 12 regular-season title with just three league matches remaining. The Longhorns currently hold down the No. 2 spot with 12 points (can reach a maximum of 21 points), trailing only Oklahoma State (16 points). The Cowgirls only have two Big 12 contests remaining (at home versus Oklahoma & Baylor) and can achieve a maximum total of 22 points.
- The Longhorns have faced a tough schedule this season as 12-of-15 played opponents currently own winning records and seven of those opponents own nine-or-more victories (Oklahoma State, Kansas, Colorado, Monmouth, Gonzaga, Washington & TCU). According to the most recent NCAA strength of schedule rankings, Texas has played the 29th toughest slate in NCAA Division I.
- Texas has been perfect on the road in Big 12 play this season, going 3-0. The last time the Longhorns posted at least three league road wins in a single campaign was 2014. With one conference road contest remaining at Oklahoma on Oct. 31, UT has the opportunity to post its first perfect Big 12 road slate since going 5-0 back in 2006.
- Texas has spread the scoring around in a major way so far in 2019 as 11 DIFFERENT LONGHORNS have scored goals and 13 different players own points. Keep in mind that in 2018, the Burnt Orange & White had 10 different goal scorers over an entire 21-match season. The most players registering goals during a single campaign since Angela Kelly took over was 13 back in 2013.
- Texas is 17-1-1 over the past two seasons when scoring first in a match and a perfect 7-0-0 when doing so during the 2019 campaign.
- The Longhorns have now won 26 consecutive matches in which they scored two-or-more goals in a contest dating back to the start of the 2017 season. The last time Texas failed to win when tickling the twine on two occasions was in a 3-2 defeat at TCU back on Oct. 28, 2016.
- With time running short, Texas' offense seems to step up to the challenge as SIX of the Longhorns 2019 match-winning goals have come in the 62nd-minute or later. Three of those (Gonzaga, at Kansas State, TCU) have been scored in the 81st-minute or later with the last two occurring at the 86:02 (K-State) and 87:34 (TCU) marks. In all, six of Texas' eight match-winning goals this season have been scored during the second half.
- Call her "Clutch Cyera' as senior forward Cyera Hintzen has scored a remarkable seven career match-winning goals in the 81st-minute or later following her 88th-minute goal to beat TCU on Thursday, 1-0. Two of those have come this season (previously scored to beat Gonzaga at 80:56 on Aug. 22).
- Junior midfielder Haley Berg has been riding quite the hot streak having SCORED SEVEN GOALS AND DISHED FIVE ASSISTS OVER TEXAS' LAST 12 MATCHES. She is currently tied for second in the Big 12 in assists and earlier this season tied for the sixth-longest goal-scoring streak in school history by tickling the twine in three straight contests from Sept. 6-13.
