The Longhorns jumped one spot to No. 29 this week.
AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Texas Men's Cross Country team gained ground in the USTFCCCA national rankings this week, climbing one spot to No. 29. It is the third-straight national poll that the Longhorn men have been ranked. The Texas women sit just outside the top 30, with the most votes of any non-ranked program in the country this week.
Texas' men also sit at No. 18 in FloTrack's national rankings, six spots higher than its standing before last weekend's Big 12 Championships.
Both Texas teams maintained their standings regionally, with the Men's Cross Country squad sitting atop the South Central region, and the women holding steady at No. 2, behind only No. 1 Arkansas.
The Longhorn women finished second and the men finished third during Saturday's Big 12 Cross Country Championship in Waco, Texas.
Texas will compete in the NCAA South Central Region meet on Friday, Nov. 15, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The top two teams in each region will advance to the NCAA Championship, to be held in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Saturday, Nov. 23.
