No. 2 Volleyball falls to Louisville in NCAA Round of 16

UT's season ends in 3-2 loss to Louisville on Friday night.
AUSTIN, Texas – The No. 2 Texas Volleyball went down 2-0 in the NCAA Volleyball Regional Semifinal on Friday night, and the despite evening the match at 2-2, the Louisville Cardinals proved too much, and took the match, 3-2; 25-22, 25-17, 17-25, 18-25, 15-12.
Senior Micaya White Led the Longhorns with 20 kills, adding six digs.
On the other pin, sophomore Logan Eggleston put down 17 kills, hitting .333 with 12 digs for her ninth double-double of the season. She also added five blocks and four aces.
In the middle, sophomore Brionne Butler put down 12 kills, hitting .409, while adding six blocks. Freshman middle blocker Asjia O'Neal had a 7-0-9 hitting line for .778, while adding five blocks, two digs and an ace.
Sophomore setter Jhenna Gabriel dished out 53 assists, adding seven digs, a block and a kill.
Defensively, sophomore libero Sydney Petersen added 19 digs and a career-high three aces.
The Longhorns finish 2019 with a 23-4 record.
