NOTES
- Separated by just 100 miles, two top-20 women's basketball programs meet on the hardwood on Monday when No. 19 Texas travels to Waco to face No. 1 Baylor. Tip-off in the Ferrell Center is slated for 6 p.m. CT and the game will be nationally televised by FS1.
- The Series: Texas and Baylor meet for the 99th time in the history of the two programs. The Longhorns lead the all-time series 58-40, but the Lady Bears have won 19 of the last 20 meetings. Texas last defeated Baylor on Feb. 16, 2017 - an 85-79 win in Waco's Ferrell Center.
- Texas vs. No. 1: Texas is 5-25 all-time against teams ranked No. 1 in the Associated Press poll at the time of the game. The Longhorns' last win against an AP No. 1 team came on November 25, 2004 when No. 4 Texas defeated No. 1 Tennessee 74-59 in Austin.
- 20-Win Seasons: With its victory against Oklahoma State on Feb. 12, the Longhorns earned their 20th win of the season. It marks the 36th time in the 45-year history of the program that Texas has reached the 20-win plateau. The Longhorns have now recorded their sixth consecutive 20-win season for the first time since the six-year period between the 1999-00 and 2004-05 campaigns.
- On The Boards: Texas ranks third nationally in rebound margin at +11.6. The Longhorns rank second in the Big 12 Conference with 1,149 total boards on the season and Texas is averaging 42.6 rebounds per game, which ranks 21st nationally. The Longhorns have held or tied for the rebounding advantage in 24 of 27 games this season and 113 of the last 132 games overall.
- Sug[ar] and Spice: Junior Sug Sutton, in her first season as her team's starting point guard, is one of the nation's top all-around floor leaders. Sutton, who has played in 95 career games, ranks 16th nationally in total assists with 151. She is also 21st in the nation in assists per game at 5.6. She also contributes 12.4 points per game, 5.2 rebounds per game and a field-goal percentage of 48.5.
- Up Next: Texas returns to action on Saturday when it plays host to Iowa State for Senior Day. Tip-off in the Frank Erwin Center is slated for 7 p.m. CT and the game will be nationally televised by Longhorn Network.
