NOTES
- In a very important game for Big 12 Conference Tournament seeding, No. 18 Texas plays host to No. 20 Iowa State on Saturday at the Frank Erwin Center in the final regular-season home game for the Longhorns. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. CT and the game will be televised by Longhorn Network.
- Senior Day: Saturday marks an opportunity to recognize three seniors who have played important roles in helping the Longhorns to one of the most successful four-year periods in program history. Olamide Aborowa, Jatarie White and Danni Williams will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony. Also being recognized are student manager Tyffany Khoh and student athletic trainer Karla Gomez.
- The Series: Texas and Iowa State meet for the 37th time in the history of the two programs and the series is tied at 18-18. The Longhorns lead the series 10-5 when the game is played in Austin. Texas has won seven of the last eight meetings between the two squads.
- 20-Win Seasons: With their victory against Oklahoma State on Feb. 12, the Longhorns earned their 20th win of the season. It marks the 36th time in the 45-year history of the program that Texas has reached the 20-win plateau. The Longhorns have now recorded their sixth consecutive 20-win season for the first time since the six-year period between the 1999-00 and 2004-05 campaigns.
- On The Boards: Texas ranks fourth nationally in rebound margin at +11.2. The Longhorns rank second in the Big 12 Conference with 1,195 total boards on the season and Texas is averaging 42.7 rebounds per game, which ranks 19th nationally. The Longhorns have held or tied for the rebounding advantage in 25 of 28 games this season and 114 of the last 133 games overall.
- Sug[ar] and Spice: Junior Sug Sutton, in her first season as her team's starting point guard, is one of the nation's top all-around floor leaders. Sutton, who has played in 96 career games, ranks 19th nationally in total assists with 152. She is also 28th in the nation in assists per game at 5.4. She also contributes 12.2 points per game, 5.1 rebounds per game and a field-goal percentage of 48.0.
- Up Next: Texas closes the regular season on Tuesday when it travels to Fort Worth, Texas, to take on TCU. Tip-off in Schollmaier Arena is slated for 6:30 p.m. CT and the game will be televised by Fox Sports Southwest Plus.
