- No. 21 Texas opens Big 12 Conference Tournament play on Saturday in the quarterfinal round when it faces TCU for the second time in five days. Tip-off at Chesapeake Energy Arena is slated for 8:30 p.m. CT and the game will be televised by Fox Sports Net.
- In The Big 12 Championship: Texas holds an all-time record of 27-21 in the Big 12 Conference Tournament. The Longhorns have made six appearances in the championship final, which ties for the second-most championship final appearances in the tournament's history.
- Big 12 Awards: Three Texas players earned spots on the All-Big 12 Conference Teams. Junior point guard Sug Sutton was named First-Team All-Big 12, while junior forward Joyner Holmes and senior guard Danni Williams were named Honorable Mention All-Big 12 selections.
- The Series: Texas and TCU meet for the 47th time in the history of the two programs with the Longhorns leading the all-time series 43-3. The two teams have met once in Big 12 Tournament history - a 67-61 win in the 2015 quarterfinal round.
- 20-Win Seasons: Texas has reached the 20-win milestone for the 36th time in the 45-year history of the program. The Longhorns have won at least 22 games for the sixth consecutive season, a span in which Texas is averaging 25.3 wins per season.
- On The Boards: Texas ranks fourth nationally in rebound margin at +11.0. The Longhorns rank second in the Big 12 Conference with 1,282 total boards on the season and Texas is averaging 42.7 rebounds per game, which ranks 20th nationally. The Longhorns have held or tied for the rebounding advantage in 27 of 30 games this season and 116 of the last 135 games overall.
- Sug[ar] and Spice: Junior Sug Sutton, in her first season as her team's starting point guard, is one of the nation's top all-around floor leaders. Sutton, who has played in 98 career games, ranks 21st nationally in total assists with 160. She is also 28th in the nation in assists per game at 5.3. She also contributes 12.8 points per game, 5.1 rebounds per game and a FG percentage of 48.4.
