AUSTIN, Texas – Despite a career-high 401 passing yards and five total touchdowns by quarterback Sam Ehlinger, No. 9/9 Texas (1-1, 0-0) fell, 45-38, to No. 6/6 LSU at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday night.

- Sam Ehlinger's 401 passing yards marked the sixth 400-yard passing game by a Texas quarterback in program history.
- Ehlinger tied a career high with five total touchdowns accounted for. He passed for a career-high tying four touchdowns and rushed for one.
- Devin Duvernay and Brennan Eagles each finished with over 100 yards receiving, which is the 16th time Texas has had pair of 100-yard receivers in a single game.
