- The Texas women's basketball team returns home to the Frank Erwin Center for the first time in nearly two weeks when it plays host to Texas Tech on Wednesday. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. CT and the game will be nationally televised by Longhorn Network.
- The Series: Texas and Texas Tech meet for the 103rd time in the history of the two programs. The Lady Raiders are the Longhorns' most frequent opponent historically and the only team that Texas has met more than 100 times. Texas leads the all-time series 73-29, including a 35-7 mark when the game is played in Austin. The Longhorns have won 12 consecutive meetings in the series.
- Double Trouble: Texas leads the nation with 19 double-doubles this season. Sophomore center Charli Collier and senior forward Joyner Holmes each have nine double-doubles, which is tied for eighth nationally. Senior guard Lashann Higgs has one double-double on the year.
- Balanced Attack: Texas has benefitted from a balanced offensive attack, which has three players averaging double-figures in scoring and five players with eight or more points per game. In all but one game this season, the Longhorns have placed at least three players in double-figure scoring.
- Sophomore Strong: Sophomore center Charli Collier has had a breakout second year for the Longhorns. She is one of only six players in the Big 12 to be averaging a double-double with 13.6 points per game and 10.4 rebounds per game. Collier also ranks 22nd nationally in rebounds per game. She is 18th in the Big 12 in scoring and 13th in field-goal percentage [.436].
- On The Boards: Success on the boards has been a staple of Texas teams for many years. In fact the Longhorns have tied or won the rebounding battle in 128 of their last 154 games overall, including 10 of 15 games this season. The Longhorns hold a +8.5 rebounding margin, which ranks 23rd nationally. Texas has reached 50 or more rebounds in four games this year.
- Next Up: Texas hits the road on Sunday, traveling to Manhattan, Kan., to face Kansas State. Tip-off at Bramlage Coliseum is slated for 12 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
