No. 1 Volleyball sweeps Iowa State

The Longhorns improved to 6-0 with a sweep of the Cyclones.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Volleyball swept Iowa State, 25-22, 25-22, 25-21, winning its 13th-consecutive set in the process on Friday at the Frank Erwin Center.
Logan Eggleston continued her great start to the season, leading all players with 16 kills and adding eight digs, three aces and three blocks. The junior hit .417 in the match and is now hitting .351 on the season.
Brionne Butler finished with nine kills and three blocks, while Molly Phillips had eight kills and three blocks. Skylar Fields had seven kills in the match and Asjia O'Neal had five kills and a team-high five blocks.
Jhenna Gabriel dished out 37 assists and shared the team lead with 10 digs, while also contributing two blocks. Morgan O'Brien had 10 digs and two service aces.
The Longhorns jumped out to fast starts in all three sets before the Cyclones fought back to make it a close finish.
Texas heads back on the road next weekend, traveling to Manhattan, Kan. to take on Kansas State. The Longhorns and Wildcats play Friday at 4 p.m. on ESPNU and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
