THE ALL-TIME SERIES
• Texas is set to face off with West Virginia for the 10th time in program history on Saturday, and for the sixth time in Austin.
• The Longhorns are 4-5 against West Virginia all-time, and 1-4 when the teams face off at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. West Virginia is the only current member of the Big 12 with an all-time winning record against Texas.
• Last season, Texas bested West Virginia, 42-31, in an October road tilt. The Longhorns are 2-1 overall against the Mountaineers during Tom Herman's tenure as head coach.
TEXAS VS. THE TOP 25
• Texas holds an 9-9 record against top-25 foes during Tom Herman's three seasons as head coach. The Longhorns are 8-5 against ranked opponents since the start of the 2018 season after going just 1-4 against top-25 teams in 2017, Herman's first season in charge.
• In 2018, the Longhorns bested No. 5 Georgia, No. 7 Oklahoma, No. 17 TCU, No. 18 Iowa State and No. 22 USC.
• Texas' 2018 wins over No. 22 USC and No. 17 TCU came in consecutive weeks, marking the first time UT defeated top-25 foes in back-to-back weeks since 2008.
• Last season, Texas picked up two ranked victories, first defeating No. 16 Kansas State, 27-24, in Austin. Later, the Longhorns bested No. 11 Utah, 38-10, in the Valero Alamo Bowl.
• The Longhorns knocked off No. 6 Oklahoma State, 41-34, in overtime to pick up their first ranked win of 2020. It was Texas' first road win over a top-10 team since 2010, when the Longhorns bested No. 7 Nebraska in Lincoln.

• He owns a career mark of 15-9 against top-25 opponents, 6-6 against top-10 foes and 3-3 versus teams ranked in the top five.
• Including the 2020 season, Herman has spent 17 of his 23 seasons as a coach in the state of Texas on the collegiate level.
• Herman graduated from Cal Lutheran and received his master's degree in education from The University of Texas.
HOME, SWEET HOME
• The Longhorns are 15-6 at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium in four years under Tom Herman. That includes an 10-4 record against the Big 12, and a 3-2 mark against ranked opponents.
• Texas is 12-3 at home over the past three seasons, including an 8-2 record versus the Big 12. UT was 10-8 in home games in the three years prior to Herman's arrival, including a 6-6 record against Big 12 opponents.
• Across three home games this season, Texas has averaged 502.0 yards of total offense per game (329.0 pass/173.0 rush) and scored 90 total points. Defensively, UT's opponents have scored only 50 points in Austin so far this season, an average of just 16.7 points per game.
• In five games at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium last season, the Longhorns averaged 39.2 points per game and racked up 2,597 yards of total offense (519.4 pg). UT was 4-1 on its home turf in 2019, falling only seven points in a shootout against the eventual national champions, LSU.
• Texas' 10 wins in Austin across the 2018-19 seasons mark the first time the Longhorns have won at least 10 home games in a two-year stretch since 2008-09.
• The Longhorns had lost three-straight home games and five of their last seven at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium before Herman arrived for the 2017 season. That stretch included a 2-5 record in Big 12 contests.
