COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Feb. 14, 2020) – The Texas volleyball trio of rising juniors Brionne Butler and Logan Eggleston and rising sophomore Skylar Fields are set to train with Team USA for the Spring Training Camp in Anaheim, Calif., over March 14-21.
Team USA will host Japan for a joint training session that week, and as part of the training week, the two countries will engage in an exhibition match on March 20 at Santiago Canyon College in Orange, California. Admission is $10 for general admission, while youth 10-and-under, seniors 60-and-over and military with identification can purchase tickets for $7. Youth 3-and-under will be admitted free. Tickets will go on sale at the door one hour prior to the 7 p.m. PT first serve.
All three Longhorns have experience wearing the Red, White & Blue, as Butler most recently spent time with Team USA at the 2019 Pan Am Cup. Butler helped Team USA win gold in that tournament, starting the championship game. Eggleston and Fields both represented the United States at the FIVB Women's Under 20 World Championship in July 2019.
Texas will be the most represented University of the 16 athletes chosen with three.
