No. 10 Women's Swimming & Diving Preview: Big 12 Championships
When: Feb. 26-29
Where: West Virginia University, Morgantown, W. Va.
Facility: The Aquatic Center at Mylan Park
The Championship will begin on Wednesday with time trials scheduled for 9 a.m. CT/10 a.m. ET. Men's 1-meter diving preliminaries will begin at 3 p.m. CT/4 p.m. ET, followed by 200-meter relay, men's 1-meter diving and 800-freestyle relay finals set for 4 p.m. CT/5 p.m. ET.
TICKETS
Admission on Wednesday is free for the entirety of the day. Tickets to all preliminary competitions running Thursday through Saturday are $6, while finals tickets are $10. Tickets can be purchased online at The Aquatic Center at Mylan Park Box Office.
STREAMING
Streaming for the Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championship will begin at 5 p.m. CT/6 p.m. ET until the conclusion of the day's events, beginning on Thursday and running through the end of the Championship. All coverage will take place on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
NOTES
- Texas swept the 2019 championship, taking home the men's and women's titles for the seventh consecutive year. The women's team has won 17 total team championships.
- In 2019, Teas claimed Diving Coach of the Meet, Diver of the Meet, Swimmer of the Meet and Newcomer of the Meet honors as Matt Scoggin, Alison Gibson, Joanna Evans, and Grace Ariola all claimed the honors, respectively.
- During the 2019 meet, Texas took 19 events over the week and swept all five relays.
- Gibson has claimed eight diving competition titles so far this season. She also took second at the 3m competition at the USA Winter Championships, earning her a spot on the team for the World Cup.
- Sophomore Evie Pfeifer currently has four Top-25 times. She sits in sixth for the 1000 freestyle with a time of 9:39.02. She sits in 13th in the 500 free (4.38.44), 17th in the 1650 free (16:03.38), and 25th in the 400 IM (4:08.58).
- Pash has the 17th- fastest time in the 200 fly with a b-cut time of 1:54.54. She is 20th in the 200 Free with a time of 1:44.41.
- Claire Adams sits in 10th nationally for the 100 Back with a time of 51.26, a b-cut time she set on Dec. 6. Adams also has the 14th fastest time in the 50 Back with 24.24.
