No. 10 Women’s Swimming and Diving holds lead after day three at Big 12 Championships

Longhorns won five events on day three to take hefty lead into final day.
MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The No. 10 Texas women's swimming and diving team continued to flex on the third day of the 2020 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championships at the Aquatic Center at Mylan Park, in Morgantown, West Virginia on Friday evening.

NOTES
- The Longhorns went 2-3-4 in the 3m diving competition as Alison Gibson came in second with a score of 381.60, while Paola Pineda finished in third at 338.90. Jordan Skilken took fourth at 306.25, while Morgan Menninger came in seventh at 292.30.
- Emily Reese took home the title in the 100 fly with a season-best time of 53.49, good for an NCAA b-cut. Lauren Case followed in seventh at 55.22.
- With her best time of the season, Evie Pfeifer became the 400 IM champion with a time of 4:06.47. Kelly Pash and Ashley Pollok both hit season-best times as Pash went 4:07.71 for second and Pollok went 4:20.08 for fifth.
- In the 200 Free, Bridget Semenuk picked up her second title of the meet with a time of 1:45.66. The Longhorns added a second-place finish from Kyla Leibel at 1:46.85, while Miranda Heckman went 1:47.67 in fourth. Logan Shiller (1:47.82) and Mary Smutny (1:49.34) went fifth and sixth, respectively.
- Kennedy Lohman finished in third place for the 100 breast at 1:01.18, while Holly Jansen took fifth at 1:01.86.
- Claire Adams won the 100 back with a time of 51.10, while Julia Cook came in second at 51.76. Jordan Wheeler added a sixth-place finish at 54.83.
- Semenuk, Cook, Adams and Leibel take home the title in the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:28.92
