- Texas owns a 16-9-4 all-time series advantage over Texas Tech, including a 9-3-3 overall record in Austin. The Red Raiders have won each of the last three meetings between the two teams dating back to 2018. Close matches have often been the norm as 15 of the last 16 series contests since 2007 have been settled by one goal or required overtime.
- Texas is unbeaten after its first three Big 12 matches for the ninth time in school history (other instances were 2019, 2017, 2012, 2009, 2007, 2002, 2001, 2000) and for the fourth time under head coach Angela Kelly. The last time Texas started Big 12 play unbeaten through four matches was 2017 when the Longhorns opened at 3-0-1. UT was also unbeaten through four Big 12 contests in 2009 (2-0-2), 2002 (4-0-0) and 2001 (4-0-0).
- The dynamic freshman scoring duo of Lexi Missimo and Trinity Byars is officially off-and-running now as the pair has combined to score 13 of Texas' last 18 goals dating to Sept. 12. Byars (eight goals - 15th NCAA Division I) and Missimo (seven goals - 32nd NCAA Division I) currently rank tied for second and fourth, respectively, in the Big 12 in total goals while the duo ranks second and third in the Big 12 in points (Missimo 23, Byars 22).
- Missimo tied a school single-match record with four assists at Oklahoma (Sept. 26) and has already moved into a tie for sixth in the Texas single-season record book with nine assists. She needs just five more helpers this season to equal Kelly Wilson's program mark of 14 assists that was established back in 2004.
- Freshman forward Trinity Byars is riding quite the hot streak since Sept. 12 as the Richardson, Texas, native has now scored eight goals over Texas' last six matches. With her goal against No. 10 TCU, Byars broke Texas-Ex Niki Arlitt's (2007) program record by scoring a goal in her sixth straight match.
- Byars was honored on Sept. 21 as the Big 12 Conference's Offensive Player and Freshman of the Week and was also an honorable mention selection for Top Drawer Soccer's National Team of the Week. On Sept. 28, Byars repeated as the Big 12 Freshman of the Week and as an honorable mention choice on the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week after scoring three goals and dishing an assist in Big 12-opening road wins at Kansas State and Oklahoma.
- Texas has now reaped six total Big 12 Conference weekly accolades in 2021, including four consecutive Big 12 Conference Freshman of the Week awards. This marks just the second time in league history that a school has earned four straight freshman of the week soccer honors after Texas A&M did so from Oct. 11-Nov. 1, 2011.
- The Longhorns currently lead the Big 12 Conference and rank 17th in all of NCAA Division I in shots-per-game (as of Sept. 30) at 20.1. Freshman midfielder Lexi Missimo leads the Big 12 with 52 total shots, while freshman forward Trinity Byars rates third with 42.
- Texas players have recorded five multi-goal efforts so far in 2021 as Lexi Missimo (New Mexico State, UTRGV) and Trinity Byars (Samford, at Oklahoma) have each done it twice, while senior midfielder Julia Grosso posted a brace against New Mexico State.
