- Texas leads its all-time series over Baylor by a record of 16-9-4, including 8-3-2 in Waco. The Longhorns have won the last four overall meetings between the two teams as well as each of the last three match-ups at Betty Lou Mays Field dating back to Oct. 20, 2017.
- Texas heads into Friday's match at Baylor LEADING THE BIG 12 REGULAR SEASON STANDINGS at 2.6 points-per-match. Because the Oklahoma State-Iowa State match was cancelled due to lightning and won't be made up, the Big 12 champion will be determined by POINTS-PER-MATCH this season.
- Texas is unbeaten through its first five Big 12 matches for the fourth time in school history (other instances were 2017, 2002, 2001) and for the second time under head coach Angela Kelly. The last time Texas started Big 12 play unbeaten through six matches was 2002 when the Longhorns opened at 6-0-0. UT was also unbeaten through six Big 12 contests during the program's only Big 12 regular-season title run back in 2001 (6-0-0).
- Texas is currently riding a season-long, eight-match unbeaten run dating back to Sept. 12. During their skein, the Longhorns have outscored opponents by a total of 22-5, fired off an average of 19.8 shots-per-match and registered five shutouts. Seven different Texas players have scored goals over that stretch led by the "Run BMG" trio of Byars (eight goals), Missimo (six goals) and Grosso (four goals). Fifth-year senior goalkeeper Savannah Madden has posted a 0.61 GAA and an .800 save percentage while making 20 saves over 734:26 of match action.
- The Longhorns enter Friday's match riding a shutout streak of 260:42 dating back to Sept. 30 against TCU. It's the second-longest shutout skein of the season for Texas after blanking opponents for 334:11 from Sept. 16-26.
- It's a return to the national rankings for Texas as a season-long, eight-match unbeaten run helped the Longhorns climb into the Oct. 12 release of the United Soccer Coaches poll at No. 25. The Burnt Orange & White started off the 2021 season by receiving one vote in the preseason poll before dropping their season opener at UCF. This marks the first time Texas has been listed in the national rankings since coming in at No. 24 in the United Soccer Coaches poll back on Aug. 27, 2019
- Top Drawer Soccer released its Top 100 National Freshman - Midseason Update on Oct. 7, and four Texas rookies made the cut! Lexi Missimo and Trinity Byars were rated No. 1 and No. 2 in NCAA Division I, respectively, while EmJ Cox ranked No. 25 and Tati Fung was listed at No. 86. Julia Grosso came in at No. 9 in the Top 100 Overall Player - Midseason Update.
- Trinity Byars made league history on Oct. 5 by becoming the first player to ever win three consecutive Big 12 Conference Freshman of the Week awards. With her honor, Texas also became the first league program in history to win five straight Big 12 Conference Freshman of the Week accolades.
- Freshman forward Trinity Byars is riding quite the hot streak since Sept. 12 as the Richardson, Texas, native has now scored eight goals over Texas' last eight matches. With her goal against No. 10 TCU, Byars broke Texas-Ex Niki Arlitt's (2007) program record by scoring a goal in her sixth straight match. BYARS IS CURRENTLY RIDING AN EIGHT-MATCH POINT SCORING STREAK, GOOD FOR SECOND ALL-TIME IN TEXAS HISTORY BEHIND ONLY KELLY WILSON (NINE MATCHES - 2001).
- The dynamic freshman scoring duo of Lexi Missimo and Trinity Byars is officially off-and-running as the pair has combined to score 14 of Texas' last 21 goals dating to Sept. 12. Byars (eight goals - 36th NCAA Division I) and Missimo (eight goals - 36th NCAA Division I) are currently tied for second in the Big 12 in total goals while the duo ranks second and third in the Big 12, and top 20 in the nation, in total points (Missimo 25, Byars 24).
