- Texas leads its all-time series over Iowa State by a commanding total of 24-3-1, including 11-1-0 in Austin. The Longhorns have won the last four overall meetings in the series (all by just one goal) and the last 11 contests at Mike A. Myers Stadium dating back to Oct. 1, 1999. ISU last beat UT on Oct. 14, 2016, in Ames, by a score of 2-0.
- Texas is unbeaten through its first four Big 12 matches for the fifth time in school history (other instances were 2017, 2009, 2002, 2001) and for the second time under head coach Angela Kelly. The last time Texas started Big 12 play unbeaten through five matches was 2017 when the Longhorns opened at 3-0-2. UT was also unbeaten through five Big 12 contests in 2002 (5-0-0) & 2001 (5-0-0).
- Top Drawer Soccer released its Top 100 National Freshman - Midseason Update on Thursday, and four Texas rookies made the cut! Lexi Missimo and Trinity Byars were rated No. 1 and No. 2 in NCAA Division I, respectively, while EmJ Cox ranked No. 25 and Tati Fung was listed at No. 86.
- Despite leading the league in total points (10), Texas currently ranks third in the league standings due to a technicality. Because the Oklahoma State-Iowa State match was cancelled due to lightning and won't be made up, the Big 12 champion will now be determined by POINTS-PER-MATCH this season. At 2.5 PPM, the Horns currently trail both Baylor (3.0 PPM) and West Virginia (3.0 PPM).
- Trinity Byars made history this past week by becoming the first player to ever win three consecutive Big 12 Conference Freshman of the Week awards. With her Oct. 5 honor, Texas also became the first league program in history to win five straight Big 12 Conference Freshman of the Week accolades.
- Freshman forward Trinity Byars is riding quite the hot streak since Sept. 12 as the Richardson, Texas, native has now scored eight goals over Texas' last six matches. With her goal against No. 10 TCU, Byars broke Texas-Ex Niki Arlitt's (2007) program record by scoring a goal in her sixth straight match. BYARS IS CURRENTLY RIDING A SEVEN-MATCH POINT SCORING STREAK, GOOD FOR SECOND ALL-TIME IN TEXAS HISTORY BEHIND ONLY KELLY WILSON (NINE MATCHES - 2001).
- The dynamic freshman scoring duo of Lexi Missimo and Trinity Byars is officially off-and-running now as the pair has combined to score 13 of Texas' last 19 goals dating to Sept. 12. Byars (eight goals - 15th NCAA Division I) and Missimo (seven goals - 32nd NCAA Division I) currently rank tied for second and fourth, respectively, in the Big 12 in total goals while the duo ranks second and third in the Big 12 in points (Missimo 23, Byars 22).
- Missimo tied a school single-match record with four assists at Oklahoma (Sept. 26) and has already moved into a tie for sixth in the Texas single-season record book with nine assists. She needs just five more helpers this season to equal Kelly Wilson's program mark of 14 assists that was established back in 2004.
