No. 2 Volleyball sweeps Oklahoma

The Longhorns bounced back from their first loss of the season with a sweep of the Sooners.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 2 Texas Volleyball bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 3-0 sweep of Oklahoma, 25-22, 25-14, 25-13, on Thursday at Gregory Gymnasium.
The Longhorns (19-1) played in front of the largest home crowd of the season of 4,295 at Gregory Gym.
Texas hit .442 in the match and held Oklahoma to a .122 hitting percentage. The Longhorns finished with nine blocks, led by Brionne Butler's five total blocks.
Logan Eggleston had a stellar match with 18 kills and a .586 hitting percentage. She added five digs, two service aces and one block.
Molly Phillips had eight kills, while hitting .667 in the match. Butler and Asjia O'Neal each finished with seven kills.
Jhenna Gabriel dished out 26 assists and had three digs, one service ace and one block. Saige Ka'aha'aina-Torres had five assists, five blocks and two kills.
Texas and Oklahoma will face off again on Friday at 7 p.m. at Gregory Gym.
