All-American libero Zoe Fleck to transfer to the Longhorns for the 2022 season.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Volleyball has announced the addition of transfer libero Zoe Fleck for the 2022 season. The two-time Pac-12 Libero of the Year and an All-American selection, Fleck brings four years of collegiate experience to the Longhorns roster.
"Zoe adds a great deal of experience and we are thrilled to add her to the backcourt group we have," said head coach Jerritt Elliott "The serve and pass game is critical at the elite level and with Nalani, Reilly, Emma and now Zoe, we have a chance to be elite in this area. You need to have many great backcourt players to be great and this group excites me."
This season Fleck helped lead the Bruins to a second-place finish in the Pac-12 and a berth in the NCAA Regional Semifinal. She was named to the AVCA All-America third team after leading UCLA with 463 digs, averaging 3.99 digs per set. She was a two-time Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week award winner this season. Fleck recorded double-figure digs in 29 of 31 matches and had a UCLA-career-high 29 digs versus UCF in the NCAA Second Round match.
Last season Fleck had 364 digs and averaged 4.39 digs per set. She was also second on the team with 19 service aces, recording at least one in 14 of 22 contests.
Prior to transferring to UCLA, Fleck played two seasons at UC Santa Barbara and amassed 635 digs and 47 aces in two seasons. She was a member of the 2019 Gauchos team that met Texas in the NCAA Second Round at Gregory Gym.
A native of Granada Hills, Calif., Fleck was an Under Armour High School All-American for Sierra Canyon High School. She still holds the school record for career digs (1,474), including 494 in her senior season.
She is the daughter of Eve and David Fleck and has two younger brothers, Elliott and Ian.
