Women’s Golf concludes Trinity Forest Invitational

The Longhorns fired a 27-over 891 to finish third in their first meet of the spring.
DALLAS – The Texas women's golf team concluded its first tournament of the 2021 season on Tuesday, finishing third (+27; 891) at the Trinity Forest Invitational. Texas shot a 3-over 291 in the final round, the Longhorns' best effort as a team at the tournament.
Individually, all five Longhorns finished in the top 20, with Sophie Guo and Ashley Park both tying for 15th at 8-over par (224). Agathe Laisne, Sara Kouskova and Bentley Cotton all tied for 18th at 9-over par (225).
Kouskova fired the best round by a Longhorn this week on Tuesday, shooting a 2-under 70 in her final trip around the Trinity Forest Golf Club. She made six birdies over the course of 18 holes. Guo also shot under par in her third round, shooting a 1-under 71 to cap her week off strongly. The Orlando, Fla. native made four birdies and three bogies in her round.
The Longhorns are slated to return to action Feb. 22-23 at the ICON Invitational in Humble, Texas. The tournament will be held at the Golf Club of Houston, and live results will be available throughout on Golfstat.com.
