No. 2 Volleyball beats Oklahoma, 3-0

Longhorns notch a second consecutive straight sets victory to improve to 16-0 this season.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 2 Texas Volleyball won its second straight match against Oklahoma, 25-23, 25-10, 25-22, on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference clash at Austin High School. The Longhorns stay unbeaten on the year, improving to 16-0, with Oklahoma moving to 3-11 this season.
Logan Eggleston led all players with 15 kills while hitting .464 in the contest and added a team-leading seven digs and two aces. Melanie Parra registered double-digits in kills for the second straight match, collecting 10 while also recording six digs and an ace.
Jhenna Gabriel finished with 23 assists on the afternoon and added six digs. Molly Phillips led Texas with four blocks, with Asjia O'Neal picking up three, and Skylar Fields and Brionne Butler adding two blocks each.
The sweep over Oklahoma is the Longhorns' second consecutive over the Sooners, after Texas cruised to the straight sets win at Austin High School yesterday afternoon.
Next up, Texas will square off with Baylor on Wednesday, Mar. 3 at 7 p.m. CT at the Frank Erwin Center.
