Kouskova earns top-10 finish at The Bruzzy

The Longhorns had two individuals competing in the field this week.
ARGYLE, Texas – Texas women's golfers Sara Kouskova and Bentley Cotton wrapped up play at The Bruzzy on Monday, with Kouskova earning a ninth-place finish at 1-under par and Cotton tying for 47th at 9-over.
Kouskova opened the tournament with a 3-over 75, but bounced back to shoot under par in her final two rounds at the Lantana Golf Club. She shot a 1-under 71 in her second round and a 3-under 69 in Monday's final round to post her fourth top-20 finish of the season.
Cotton, competing in her sixth event as a freshman, improved with each round at The Bruzzy this week. After a difficult opening 18 holes that saw Cotton shoot a 6-over 78, she followed it up with a 2-over 74 and a 1-over 73 in her final two rounds.
