No. 2 Women’s Golf advances to match play after round three of Jackson T. Stephens Cup

O’Keefe carded five birdies to lead the Longhorns scoring at 3-under 67 in the last round of stroke play.
LAKE BLUFF, Ill. — The Texas women's golf team moved on to the match play after three rounds of stroke play at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup at Shoreacres on Tuesday. The Longhorns will take on Oregon in match play tomorrow.
Texas carded eleven birdies on the third round to wrap up stroke play at 12-over 852. Wake Forest earned the No. 1 seed in match play with a 2-under 838, with Stanford following behind at 3-over 843. Oregon finished third (+7) and Texas finished fourth in stroke play.
Junior Farah O'Keefe shot 3-under 67 along with five birdies to conclude her final round. O'Keefe made three birdies from hole 15 to 18 and finished in fifth place on the individual leaderboard with 2-under 208, six shots behind first place Macy Pate from Wake Forest. Junior Lauren Kim birdied hole 11 and 14 to finish her day at even-par 70 and holds a 1-under 209 overall. Kim finished sixth on the individual leaderboard, one shot behind her fellow Longhorn O'Keefe.
The Longhorns will face off against No. 3 Oregon in match play tomorrow for the finale of the Jackson T. Stephens Cup at 10:30 AM CT.
The Lineup
Junior Farah O'Keefe shot 3-under 67 in her final round as she concluded her stroke play at 2-under 208. O'Keefe carded five birdies and three of them came from hole 15 to 18. O'Keefe finished in fifth place on the individual leaderboard. This is the 12th top-five finish in her collegiate career and 15th top-10 finish.
Junior Lauren Kim birdied hole 11 and 14 to finish round three at even-par 70. Kim finished in sixth place on the individual leaderboard with a 1-under 209 total. This is her 11th top-10 finish in her collegiate career.
Senior Cindy Hsu birdied hole 15 and finished her round at 5-over 75. Hsu finished 16th place on the individual leaderboard with 7-over 217.
Junior Vivian Lu concluded her third round by going 6-over 76 as she wrapped up her stroke play at 12-over 222. Lu finished 24th on the individual leaderboard.
Senior Angela Heo birdied hole 15 and 17 to wrap up the final round of the Jackson T. Stephens Cup at 2-over 72 and 13-over 223 overall. Heo finished T25 on the individual leaderboard.
