Texas Head Coach Laura Ianello
"I was really happy with how the ladies battled today. We went all the way to the 18th hole with Angela Heo's match. Oregon is a really strong team and they beat us last year at the NCAA Championship. I think today our ladies stepped up. It was a very difficult golf course this week and difficult pins today. I felt like we stuck to our gameplan and even when we didn't hit it where we needed to, we managed our short games. Farah O'Keefe taking down Kiara Romero was huge. Kiara is No. 1 in the world amateur rankings and a teammate of Farah for USA. For Lauren Kim to beat Shyla Singh down the stretch, really good stuff by our top three players. It was good to have Vivian Lu in the lineup in her Texas debut. Overall, it was a solid performance against the best teams in the country."
