No. 4 Volleyball advances to 13th NCAA Final Four

The Longhorns defeated Nebraska, 3-1, in the NCAA Regional Final on Monday.
OMAHA, Neb. – No. 4 Texas Volleyball defeated No. 5 Nebraska in four sets, 25-22, 19-25, 25-15, 25-21, on Monday afternoon at CHI Health Center Arena to advance to the NCAA Final Four for the 13th time in program history. The Longhorns (26-1) will play in their ninth final four in the last 13 years, the most in the nation during that span.
Skylar Fields had a second-straight incredible match, finishing with 18 kills on a .630 hitting percentage to go with a block and a dig. Logan Eggleston also finished with 18 kills and had five service aces, five blocks and four digs.
Asjia O'Neal led Texas with seven blocks to go with 10 kills in the match. Brionne Butler and Molly Phillips each had six kills and five blocks.
Jhenna Gabriel dished out 46 assists and had four digs and two blocks. Morgan O'Brien led the Longhorns with 14 digs to go with one service ace, while Nalani Iosia had 11 digs, four assists and two service aces.
Texas took care of a close first set, leading nearly start to finish, before dropping the second set. In the third set, Fields got hot and took over the match. She had seven kills in the set, including on five of the last six points.
In the fourth set, Texas trailed 13-8 before going on a 6-1 run after a timeout to knot the match at 14 apiece. The Longhorns then built up a 21-17 lead and held on for the win.
Texas will play the winner of the match between No. 1 Wisconsin and No. 8 Florida on Thursday, April 22.
