No. 18 Women’s Golf advances to fourth round of NCAA Championship

The top-eight teams on the leaderboard following Monday's round will advance to match play.
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The No. 18 Women's Golf team registered a 5-over-par 293 on Sunday and is in fourth place following the third round of play in the 2021 NCAA Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club. As one of the top-15 teams in the field, the Longhorns have advanced to play in Monday's final 18 holes of stroke play.
Texas is currently at 6-over-par 870 (289-288-293) entering the final round and is scheduled to tee off at 12:32 p.m. CT with No. 5 Mississippi and No. 11 Arizona State on Monday. Stanford is in the lead at 18-under 846 (291-278-277), with Duke in second place at 2-under 866 (292-281-293). Oklahoma State is in third, two strokes ahead of the Longhorns at 4-over 868 (297-289-282). The top-8 team following Monday's round will advance to the match-play quarterfinals on Tuesday morning.
Sara Kouskova leads Texas after firing an even-par 72 this afternoon and is currently tied for 10th at even-par 216 for the week. Bogeys on the third and fifth holes put her at 2-over for both the day and the tournament, but the junior closed out her round making par or better on the final 11 holes, including birdies on the seventh and 14th holes.
Sophie Guo is tied for 13th at 1-over-par 217 for the week after shooting a 2-over par 74 this afternoon. Guo carded birdies on the third, seventh and 11th holes while making par on 10 holes.
Agathe Laisne and Kaitlyn Papp are in a 23rd-place tie at 3-over-par 219 following the third round of play. Laisne was the second-lowest Longhorn of the afternoon with a 1-over 73, including birdies on the eighth and 12th holes, while Papp had birdies on the sixth, seventh and 17th holes in a round of 3-over 75 that included 10 pars.
Ashley Park posted her best round of the week with a 2-over 74 including birdies on the fifth, seventh and 12th holes while making par on 12 holes.
