AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Texas (3-1, 1-0) scored 70 points for the first time in 16 years in Saturday's dominating 70-35 win against Texas Tech (2-1, 0-1) at the Darrell K Royal – Texas Memorial Stadium.

KEY STATISTICS

Bijan Robinson made two defenders miss on his way into the endzone off a 38-yard pass from Casey Thompson to score his second receiving TD of the season.
Longhorns drove 80 yards down the field and capped it off with a three-yard rush to the right from Roschon Johnson to extend the lead to 14-0.
- The drive marks the eighth-straight touchdown drive led by Thompson.
Texas Tech scored its first points of the game in the opening minute of the second quarter with a quarterback keep for six yards to cut the lead to 14-7.
Thompson made it a 21-7 lead with a one-yard rush for his third rushing TD of the season.
Josh Thompson intercepted Tyler Shough on Tech's first play of the drive and ran it back for 27 yards and his second career interception. Texas added to its lead, 28-7.
C. Thompson completed his 10^th pass of the day off a 23-yard pass to find Xavier Worthy in the endzone and made it a 35-7 Longhorns' lead.
Tech came back and scored its second touchdown of the game off a 40-yard pass to Myles Price, taking 93 seconds off the clock for a 75-yard drive. Texas led 35-14.
The Longhorns added its final touchdown of the first half off a seven-yard rush by Johnson for his second of the day. Texas led 42-14 heading into halftime, scoring more than 40 points in the first half for the second-straight game.
Both teams exchanged turnovers on their first drives of the second half. Luke Brockermeyer earned his first career interception on the Tech 40 yard line. C. Thompson threw his first interception of the season in the endzone with 12:01 to go in the third.
Jordan Whittington scored his second touchdown of the season off a five-yard pass C. Thompson to extend the lead to 49-14.
Tech answered with a 69-yard pass from Henry Colombi to Loic Fouonnji to make it 49-21.
C. Thompson capped a 87-yard drive with a three-yard pass to Worthy for his second TD of the day and Texas went up 56-21. On Tech's next play, Colombi found Kaylon Geiger for a 75-yard pass to make it a 56-28 Texas lead.
Once again, C. Thompson found Worthy, this time for a 62-yard connection, giving Thompson 303 passing yards on the day and a 63-28 lead.
Junior Keilan Robinson scored his second touchdown in as many games with a one-yard rush to give Texas its largest lead of the day, 70-28.
Tech's Donovan Smith added the final score of the game with a one-yard rush (70-35).
