Bijan Robinson rushed for 216 yards on 35 carries to lead the Longhorns to a road Big 12 win.
FORT WORTH, Texas – Texas Football rushed for 272 yards and forced three turnovers to hold off TCU for a 32-27 win on Saturday at Amon G. Carter Stadium. Bijan Robinson had a career day, rushing 35 times for 216 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Longhorns to victory.
KEY STATISTICS
- TCU returned the opening kickoff 87 yards down to the Texas 13-yard line and scored two plays later to take an early 7-0 lead.
- The Longhorns got on the board with a Cameron Dicker 38-yard field goal on their first possession of the game to make the score 7-3. Bijan Robinson had four rushes for 27 yards and one catch for 16 yards on the drive.
- Texas took its first lead of the game, 10-7, with a 99-yard touchdown drive capped off by a 27-yard run by Bijan Robinson.
- D'Shawn Jamison gave the Longhorns a short field, recovering a fumble and returning it to the TCU 23-yard line. Texas had to settle for a field goal and Dicker booted a 38-yarder to extend the lead to 13-7.
- TCU retook the lead near the end of the first quarter with a 6-play, 75-yard touchdown drive to make the score 14-13.
- Texas was given another great opportunity after DeMarvion Overshown recovered a muffed punt at the TCU 9-yard line. The Longhorns had to settle for Dicker's third field goal of the game to retake the lead 16-14.
- The Horned Frogs retook the lead midway through the second quarter, kicking a 25-yard field goal to go up 17-16.
- Bijan Robinson put Texas back in front, 23-17, with a four-yard touchdown run to finish off a drive in which he rushed four times for 27 yards.
- Texas forced its third turnover of the game to start the second half, as Anthony Cook forced and recovered a fumble on sack of Max Duggan. The Longhorns were forced to settle for Dicker's fourth field goal to extend the lead to 26-17.
- TCU got a field goal of their own to make the score 26-20 late in the third quarter.
- The Longhorns extended the lead to 12 points early in the fourth quarter, with a 32-yard touchdown pass from Casey Thompson to Jordan Whittington.
- The Horned Frogs trimmed the lead to 32-27 with a 99-yard touchdown drive with 4:23 left in the game.
- Texas ran off the final 4:23 of the clock to end the game, with Bijan Robinson racking up 35 rushing yards on the final drive.

Texas and Oklahoma will meet in Dallas on Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Cotton Bowl for the AT&T Red River Showdown. The Longhorns and Sooners will kick off at 11 a.m. CT in a game televised on ABC.
