- Texas owns a 9-6-3 series advantage over TCU, including a stellar 6-1-1 mark in Austin. The Horned Frogs have had the best of the recent series by holding a 3-1-2 advantage over the last six meetings between the two teams. TCU hasn't won at Mike A. Myers Stadium, however, since Aug. 21, 2009.
- Texas has now started Big 12 Conference play at 2-0 for the 10th time in school history (other instances were 2019, 2017, 2013, 2012, 2006, 2002, 2001, 2000 & 1999). The Longhorns have also won their first two matches of the league season five times under the guidance of head coach Angela Kelly. The last time Texas started Big 12 play at 3-0 was back in 2019 when the Horns beat Kansas and Kansas State on the road before returning home to post a 1-0 victory over TCU. UT has opened 3-0 in league play six previous times in program history.
- The dynamic freshman scoring duo of Lexi Missimo and Trinity Byars is officially off-and-running now as the pair has combined to score 12 of Texas' last 17 goals since Sept. 12. Missimo is currently tied with Byars for second in the Big 12 in total goals (26th in NCAA Division I - seven) while the duo ranks second and third in the Big 12 in points (Missimo 22, Byars 20).
- Missimo tied a school single-match record with four assists at Oklahoma (Sept. 26) and has already moved into a tie for sixth in the Texas single-season record book with nine assists. She needs just five more helpers this season to equal Kelly Wilson's program mark of 14 assists that was established back in 2004.
- Freshman forward Trinity Byars is riding quite the hot streak since Sept. 12 as the Richardson, Texas, native has now scored seven goals over Texas' last five matches. She's currently tied with Texas-Ex Niki Arlitt (2007) for the program record after scoring a goal in five straight matches.
- Byars was honored on Sept. 21 as the Big 12 Conference's Offensive Player and Freshman of the Week and was also an honorable mention selection for Top Drawer Soccer's National Team of the Week. On Sept. 28, Byars repeated as the Big 12 Freshman of the Week and as an honorable mention choice on the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week after scoring three goals and dishing an assist in Big 12-opening road wins at Kansas State and Oklahoma.
- Texas has now reaped six total Big 12 Conference weekly accolades in 2021, including four consecutive Big 12 Conference Freshman of the Week awards. This marks just the second time in league history that a school has earned four straight freshman of the week soccer honors after Texas A&M did so from Oct. 11-Nov. 1, 2011.
- The Longhorns currently lead the Big 12 Conference and ranked 26th in all of NCAA Division I in shots-per-game (as of Sept. 25) at 19.6. Freshman midfielder Lexi Missimo is tied for first in the Big 12 with 46 total shots, while freshman forward Trinity Byars rates third with 38.
- Texas players have recorded five multi-goal efforts so far in 2021 as Lexi Missimo (New Mexico State, UTRGV) and Trinity Byars (Samford, at Oklahoma) have each done it twice, while senior midfielder Julia Grosso posted a brace against New Mexico State.
- Texas senior defender Emma Regan has been voted as one of the team leaders for a reason. It's because she provides a consistent presence in the Longhorns backline. The Burnaby, British Columbia, native has played in Texas' last 51 matches and is riding a streak of 47 consecutive starts dating back to Oct. 25, 2018. For her career, Regan has played in 57 total matches with 56 starts. As a freshman in 2018, she missed numerous matches due to a Team Canada call-up for senior-level international duty at the CONCACAF Women's Championship.
- Julia Grosso usually makes her shots on goal count. Since the start of the 2019 season, Grosso has scored 16 goals on her last 49 shots on frame (33% shot efficiency).
