- A pair of Longhorns were honored on Sept. 7 as part of the league's weekly awards. Fifth-year senior Savannah Madden picked up her fourth career selection as the Big 12 Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, while Lexi Missimo received her second career selection as the Big 12 Conference Freshman of the Week. Madden made 11 combined saves last week against New Mexico State and at No. 19 Rice with a 0.45 GAA. Missimo tallied her first career five-point effort against NMSU and then added an assist off a corner on UT's lone goal at the nationally-ranked Owls.

- Texas' 35 shots at No. 19 Rice on Sept. 5 marked the most total shots in a single match for the Horns (previous high was 30) since the arrival of 10th-year head coach Angela Kelly. With 12 shots on goal against the Owls, the Longhorns have also reached double figures for shots on goal in each of their last two contests.
- Longhorns freshman defender EmJ Cox scored her first collegiate goal off a header at 62:04 during the 1-1 (2OT) tie at No. 19 Rice. In the process, she joined Trinity Byars and Tati Fung as freshman Longhorns to tally their first points thus far in the fall of 2021.
