- Texas can clinch at least a share of its second all-time Big 12 Conference regular-season title (and first since 2001) with a win on Sunday at Oklahoma State. In fact, the Longhorns need just one victory over their final two matches against Oklahoma State or Oklahoma to secure at least a share of the league crown. If Texas wins both matches or finishes with a win & tie, UT would secure the outright title regardless of any other Big 12 results.
- Texas sophomore forward Trinity Byars is setting quite a pace nationwide as the Richardson, Texas, native is currently the ONLY PLAYER IN DIVISION I TO RANK IN THE TOP SIX FOR GOALS, ASSISTS AND POINTS. She's fourth in the national stats in points (35) and sixth in both goals (13) and assists (nine). Byars is incredibly efficient as she's scored on 52% of her shots on goal in 2022 (13 goals on 25 shots on frame).
- Oklahoma State leads the all-time series over Texas by a total of 13-11-7, including 5-3-5 in Stillwater. The Longhorns won the most recent match-up between the two teams back on Oct. 24, 2021, in Austin, 2-1, but head into Sunday looking to secure their first road win at OSU since Oct. 20, 2002.
- Texas enters Sunday riding a school record 16-MATCH BIG 12 CONFERENCE REGULAR-SEASON UNBEATEN STREAK (11-0-5). UT's last regular-season Big 12 defeat OCCURRED 716 DAYS AGO back on Nov. 6, 2020, in a 1-0 loss at Texas Tech.
- Texas also enters Sunday riding a 14-MATCH UNBEATEN STREAK (10-0-4) dating back to Aug. 28 against Florida. That's tied for the longest such skein in school history equaling a stretch from Sept. 12 to Nov. 4, 2021 (10-0-4 record).
- Byars enters Sunday's match at Oklahoma State riding a six-match point scoring streak. It's her second five-plus match point-scoring skein of the season, while the longest such streak of her career was eight consecutive contests from Sept. 12-Oct. 8, 2021.
- Byars is closing in on more program history. After registering 12 goals and 10 assists during her 2021 freshman campaign, Byars is only one assist from becoming just the second player in Longhorns history to post two seasons with double-digit goals & assists (and the first to do it in consecutive years). The other was former two-time All-American Kelly Wilson back in 2001 (13G, 12 A) and 2004 (16G, 14A).
- The Longhorns currently rank SECOND IN NCAA DIVISION I in assists-per-match (2.94) and assists with 47 helpers over their first 16 contests. Individually, sophomore forward Trinity Byars is tied for SIXTH IN THE NATION in total assists (nine) and ranks SEVENTH in assists-per-match (0.60). Sophomore midfielder Lexi Missimo is also currently tied for SIXTH IN THE NATION with nine assists.
