No. 1 Volleyball’s Phillips named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week

The junior had 22 total kills and eight total blocks, while leading the Big 12 with a .588 hitting percentage.
AUSTIN, Texas – No. 1 Texas Volleyball's Molly Phillips has been named the Big 12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
Phillips led the Big 12 with a .588 hitting percentage on 34 total attacks during the Longhorns' wins over Texas Tech and Kansas State, helping head coach Jerritt Elliott pick up his 600th career victory.
The junior had 22 total kills and eight total blocks while averaging 3.71 points per set and 3.14 kills per set, ranking top-10 in the Big 12 for both during the week. This Phillips' first Big 12 Offensive weekly award and her third weekly award overall.
The Longhorns travel to Fort Worth to take on the TCU Horned Frogs on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Schollmaier Arena.
