Harness places second on Men’s Platform on final day of NCAA Zone D Diving Championships

Andrew Harness and Noah Duperre claimed NCAA qualifying spots on the Men’s Platform.
MADISON, Wis. – Texas junior diver Andrew Harness finished second on the Men's Platform and junior Jordan Skilken placed second on the Women's Platform to highlight the final day of competition at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships at the Soderholm Aquatic Center on Wednesday. The Longhorns qualified three women and two men on the platform for the upcoming NCAA Championships.
Harness totaled 733.35 points to place second on the Platform to earn his second NCAA Championship qualifier in as many days after securing a spot on the 1-meter springboard on Tuesday. Joining Harness in the top eight to lock in an NCAA Championship spot was sophomore Noah Duperre who finished sixth with 652.35 points. Sophomore Brendan McCourt took 12th (586.15). Duperre is qualified for the NCAA Championships on the 1-meter springboard, 3-meter springboard and Platform.
Skilken tallied 610.35 points in her runner-up performance on the platform, 1.15 points behind event winner Alyssa Clairmont of Texas A&M. Junior Janie Boyle and senior Paola Pineda also placed in the top nine to secure spots at the NCAA Championship, with Boyle placing fourth (605.80) and Pineda finishing fifth (539.35). Senior Morgan Menninger placed 13th with 484.05 points. Skilken and Pineda closed out the meet having qualified for the NCAA Championships in three events – the 1-meter, 3-meter and platform.
The Longhorn women head to the 2022 NCAA Championships on Wednesday, March 16 through Saturday, March 19 in Atlanta. The UT men will compete in the 2022 NCAA Championships on Wednesday, March 23 through Saturday, March 26 in Atlanta.
