Volleyball defeats Baylor in spring matchup

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Volleyball defeated Baylor, 4-0 (25-15, 26-24, 25-17, 26-24) in a spring match on Thursday night at Gregory Gym.
Senior Logan Eggleston led the Longhorns with 24 kills (0.441), while adding seven digs and two assists.
Redshirt junior Asjia O'Neal tallied 10 kills on 14 swings (.714) and posted a team-high five blocks. Sophomore Melanie Parra recorded nine kills (0.500) and sophomore Madisen Skinner added seven kills and three blocks.
Senior Saige Ka'aha'aina-Torres dished out a match-leading 41 assists and a match-high four services aces, while senior Zoe Fleck led Texas with 10 digs while posting three aces and a pair of kills.
As a team, the Longhorns outblocked the Bears, 15-12, and had a hitting percentage of .366 to Baylor's .123.
The Longhorns close out the spring slate on Saturday, April 16 in Fort Worth, Texas with a 4 p.m. match against TCU.
