Miller Take Pole Vault Event at Michael Johnson Invitational

WACO, Texas – Warren Miller won the men's pole vault A section at the Michael Johnson Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
With a season-best clearance, Miller championed his first event of the season at 5.36m (17-7).
Olivia Buntin made her outdoor season debut in the women's pole vault A section and cleared 4.02m (13-2.25).
Sophia Falco finished sixth in the women's triple jump with a season-best mark of 12.56m (41-2.5), wind-aided.
Alex Loving and Demetri Whitsett both competed in the men's javelin for the first time this outdoor season. Loving finished 10th with his throw of 51.18m, while Whitsett closed the event at 46.14m.
Two Longhorns finished in the top 10 in the men's high jump after Riley Foreman finished seventh (2.02m) and Phillip Frank closed it out in 10th with a 1.92m clearance.
Milan Young competed in her first 100m hurdles event as a Longhorn and finished seventh with a wind-aided time of 13.17.
Tyra Wilson and Jon Maas competed in the 400m with Wilson finishing with a time of 56.63 seconds, while Maas crossed the finish in 48.875. Kailei Collins later competed in the 100m dash and finished with a time of 11.54 seconds, while Caleb Hulbin finished in 10.49 on the men's side.
Sam Worley competed for the first time since February 2021 in the men's 800m and finished ninth with a time of 1:54.45.
