Carrozza places fifth in 400m freestyle at USA Swimming International Team Trials

Longhorns collect three top-seven results on day four of the trials.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Texas Swimming's Coby Carrozza highlighted day four for the Texas men with a fifth-place finish in the 400-meter freestyle on Friday at the USA Swimming 2022 Phillips 66 International Team Trials at the Greensboro Aquatic Center. Texas swimmers collected three top-seven results on the fourth day of the trials.
Carrozza placed fifth in the 400m free final with a time of 3:50.41. Luke Hobson joined Carrozza in the 400-meter final, touching the wall in 3:52.94 to finish seventh. It marked the second championship final for Carrozza and Hobson this week, who both made the 200-meter final, placing fifth and seventh, respectively.
On the women's side, incoming freshman Lydia Jacoby took fourth in the 100m breast with a time of 1:06.21. It marked her third top-five performance at the trials, after registering a third-place result in the 50m breast and fifth-place finish in the 200m breast.
The USA Swimming International Team Trials will conclude on Saturday, April 30 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
Saturday's action will feature competition in the 200-meter individual medley, 50-meter freestyle, women's 1500-meter freestyle and men's 800-meter freestyle. Prelims start at 8 a.m. CT with the finals sessions scheduled to get underway each day at 5 p.m. CT. All prelims will stream at usaswimming.com and the finals session will be streamed live on the Olympic Channel.
