Haftu Knight led the Longhorns at the Cowboy Jamboree for the second year in a row.
STILLWATER, Okla. – Haftu Knight led the Longhorns at the Cowboy Jamboree for the second year in a row.
Knight's time of 23:50.0 in the men's featured 8K earned him a top-25 performance, coming in 24th and was the top finisher for Texas. Knight's time was also four seconds faster than his time last season.

The Texas men finished 12th overall, scoring 281 points.
Rodger Rivera made his 2022 season debut and finished 30th with his time of 23:55.0, just 1.5 seconds off his personal best. Freshman Emmanuel Sgouros competed in his first collegiate 8K and was the third finisher for Texas, finishing with a time of 24:16.6.
Isaac Alonzo later crossed the finish line at 24:29.3, a 32-second personal best 8K time. Alonzo entered Saturday's race hot off a first-place finish at the Tornado Watch Invitational.
Abraham Avila-Martinez crossed at 24:34.9 and Nathanael Berhane at 24:50.5. Cole Lindhorst opened his season with a time of 25:11.1, while freshman Hudson Heikkinen and Cruz Gomez finished just behind at 25:12.2 and 25:12.9, respectively.
Logan Patete was the final Longhorn to finish at 25:54.8.
